In this ongoing body of small works the artist depicts people and objects with different narrative threads running through each painting.   A sense of timelessness is conveyed through the combination of colour, texture and mark-making.

"The Red Beret" - "Snow, cold, a young boy from another era carries a book. The boy is my father in his innocent, joyful youth. I wore a red beret in the 1980s."
"Birthday Boots" - "The girl's pose is abandoned - Where is she?  The title says it all.  I wore red boots in the 1980s."
