FIGURES IN TIME SERIES
"I am only passing through ... "
"One day a figure crept into the painting from nowhere and I realised it was a girl in a yellow dress making her way to a shoreline. The idea of metaphor grabbed me and so began the Figures in Time Series.
The girl is part-fiction, part-myself, part-my mother-self making her way through time and life.
The place in my mind is Scotland, perhaps the West Coast; the time is past, present and future."
