Florals & Landscapes
I am always painting, following the ebb and flow of the seasons. My work is expressive and as much about my mood as it is about my subject - from vibrant or fading flowers to brooding or bright landscapes. Sometimes I seek space and emptiness and the solace of sky and land; at other times, I move into intricacy and detail, working directly from observation. At all times, though, I am interested in the lyrical, poetic moment of a brush stroke or drawn mark. I think of it it as a sort of melody, reaching crescendos and cadences, a swirling coloratura or a swathe of string synthesizer chords.
