A Day Masterclass in York, UK
with Lesley Birch

Jill
(2022 Summer Masterclass)

"I've always loved Lesley's work, so was thrilled when I got the chance to have a Masterclass with her.  Lesley is an incredible teacher.  I've never painted before and she led us, step by step through the creation process - from choosing paper to paints, colours and brushes.  At the end of the session, I couldn't believe what I'd created.  I was so chuffed that I got two pieces framed and they sit pride of place in my bedroom.  I cannot recommend a Masterclass with Lesley highly enough.  You'll love it!"

Kirsten
(2022 Summer Masterclass)

"I have always loved 'dabbling' with painting and drawing but rarely pleased with my results! The change to go to Lesley's masterclass rekindled the joy of painting I had at school.  She showed me how to experiment with colour and technique and the whole experience was invigorating as well as great fun... I would not hesitate to say this is a class for all levels and I hope to go back!"

What to Expect
You'll be filling up a small sketchbook as we progress through the day.
This helps free up the hand and the eye.
You'll be creating 2/3 or even more ! medium sized paintings too.

"Here I'm filling up a sketchbook with loose and free marks in watercolour and pencil"  Lesley Birch
"Here in a cottage garden posy I'm selecting shapes and colours to play with, letting the paint move freely.
I'm using watercolour, ink and gouache on Hahnemuhle paper."   Lesley Birch

Lesley Birch at PICA Studios
"Using your fingers is fun & effective in floral painting."
