ABOUT ME
"I'm aiming to create atmospheric, emotive paintings with a lyrical feel. The power of Nature and her Seasons are my inspiration - from wild coasts to bountiful blossoming in my garden. The fading moments in the seasons are equally inspiring with drooping, crusty forms and muted tones. Combining colours, making marks and movements can convey an atmosphere - and the real joy of painting for me is that exciting moment when materiality and emotion meet. I like to work in series and often on paper using different media ranging from oils, oil pastels and inks to acrylics and pure pigments. I relish an expressive brush mark and layers of colour."
